Most powerful and moving show #edfringe was #17minutes by thebarrowgroup Gilded Balloon Utterly absorbing drama of the aftermath of a school shooting. Brilliant acting by the cast and a pin-sharp script from Scott Organ I was far from the only one in tears at the end.

Among my favorite moments of TIFF (there were many) was my Lyft driver who, when I told him I was at the festival as a writer, told me how poems would come to him in Punjabi and only when he drove. And he would have to pull over and write them down. #TIFF2022
