Fantastic to have been able to join Zero Waste Scotland’s workshop as part of #WCEF2024 today.

We discussed the importance of taking a place-based approach to the circular economy, and the value of working together at a global level to achieve a more sustainable economic model.

This morning, we welcomed a group of students from the University of Glasgow’s International Relations Masters programme.

It’s always great to talk to students about our work here in Brussels, as well as offer some advice and insights into our career paths!

Back from a fulfilling week in Brussels wi ⁦João Kay⁩ looking after Grandweans Fiona, Fabrizio & Caterina while their parents did high powered law work in Washington. I also gave a talk on Scots ⁦⁦Scottish Government Brussels⁩ organised by ⁦Martin Johnson⁩ & his team.

We were delighted to attend U!REKA European University's event on bridging the gap between the 2040 climate goals and the shortage of skilled labour for an insightful discussion on this very important topic.

The Consular Corps is an organisation which represents 55 countries in Scotland.

First Minister Humza Yousaf reiterated his intention to build on Scotland’s strong and enduring relationship with the #EU , including on renewable energy, research and innovation and culture.

He discussed shared priorities and values with EU Ambassador Pedro Serrano.
