“Jake, I swear to Sophia if you messed with the MWEngine again, I am revoking your access for all of time.”

“I fail to understand why anyone trusted me with being a college professor. Plus, they made me teach an 8AM class, of which neither my students nor I ever wanted to be present for…”

The professor has been locked in his lab all day looking over some old papers and editing some of his notes. He probably forgot to eat at all.

//in case any of you new followers are wondering: my version of Klaus is based on XCX. There are more details in the google doc. In general, he’s the result of his experiment not working at all, and thusly the events of XCX happened. He’s also a nervous wreck 90% of the time too

“H-How did it get so late?! W-Was I really working for that long?”

He’s made himself a cup of coffee and has sat down to further study the MWEngine and its power source.

“Why does it feel like the day is going by quicker than I think? I’m wasting precious time I could be using to perfect the mechanisms of the MWEngine. Although the Conduit is being quite finicky lately, and it’s making it difficult to properly run tests.”

“Are you listening to me, Wave Existence?! You could do me a favor for once and cooperate!” He’s yelling at the device. There’s no response. “Or you can just keep napping as you’ve done for who know how long! What do I care?! You probably hate me!”

He’s… playing some kind of game on what looks to be a really old handheld device, that seems to have been kept in pretty decent shape despite being at least a few decades old.

“I need a break. And not just a short coffee break, although I may need that as well…”

“I need coffee.”

“Oh… and it’s back to ignoring me again. Gee, thanks, Wave Existence. I’m taking a lunch break. I’m really not in the mood to deal with yet another divine tantrum.”
