Today is my 10yr wedding anniversary. I decided to try on my dress after all these years. Despite the #divorce I cherish the good memories & wonderful wedding party. On #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth Day 1 I want to send support to everyone dealing with a break up, divorce or loss.

Kicking off #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth with a talk on #AcademicMentalHealth & sharing my personal lived experience for PhD students at Hartpury University and Hartpury College university, UK. In every talk I include the amazing book 'Managing Your Mental Health During Your PhD' by the wonderful Dr Zoë Ayres.💚

Another first: a half marathon and grant proposal submission on the same day, both for #BreastCancer . I guess the secret is out & I can share my research focus for the coming years. So happy & grateful for all the support!🩷

Still so amazing to me that I have reached millions of people with my blog. Countless messages reached me of those who felt seen & heard. I have lots of ideas what to do next and I am excited to add more cancer research to my website in the future: annaschueth.com.

I know people that are diagnosed with cancer.
I know people who lost a loved one.
I have attended funerals.
I have been to the oncology for biopsies myself.

My 10 yr old gave his favorite key chains away (he actually saved up money for them).
'Other kids at school needed them more than me'.
I asked him, if he traded for something else. 'No, why?It`s OK to give without expecting anything in return.' Such a smart kid.❤️

Next week #MentalHealthAwareness Month starts & I will give a lecture for PhD students in the UK on #AcademicMentalHealth . I am still doing a few selected talks, sadly can`t do them all. 💚💚💚
