Luckily no, our school nurses are now able to give the full course at 1 appointment; so it will be easier for those who miss it, as they only need to catch up on 1 appointment rather than 2!

Meningococcal disease affects around 800 people in England & Wales each year, sadly resulting in several deaths among infants & teenagers.

Even if your child was immunised against tetanus, diphtheria & polio when they were younger, they still need the teenage booster, as protection falls over time

What does the change to one dose of the HPV vaccine mean to children in school?

Children in year 8 in Sept ‘23, they will be offered one dose of HPV vaccine.

If a child is in year 9 in Sept 2023 & they have already had 1 dose of HPV vaccine, they no longer need a second dose.
