The #1 reason a team has a strong culture with high standards is because the staff clearly and effectively models the standards they want to exist for the culture they want to create. People observe and follow the actions of leaders more than words of leaders. Skin in the game.

Teachers, coaches, cooks, custodians, educational assistants, tech staff, drivers, admin, office personnel, hallway monitors…..EVERYONE can be a leader. It’s more important now than ever……

Sports do not define you as a person. Athletic failure doesn’t make you a bad person, and athletic success doesn’t necessarily make you a good person. Always remember that you are more than just an athlete!

As a coach, learn to put yourself in the shoes of your players. Try to understand their perspectives, emotions, and motivations. By having emotional intelligence and empathy, you can connect with your players on a deeper level and help them reach their potential.

As a coach, you never know what your players may be going through in their personal lives. So always show them compassion and respect.

Broken Bow had another good day today. We scored 238 points to win the Holdredge invite. We medaled 11 of 13 kids and had four champions. LETS GO BOW!!!

With the Valentine Invite canceling, Bow looked east to compete this weekend. We ended up at Platteview HS on Friday and at Logan View HS on Saturday. I am super proud of our kids & coaches for grinding through this challenge. It was a good weekend to be an Indian. LET'S GO BOW!
