House prices are high because of the fiscal structure of the market. Building more houses creates more profit, it does not lower prices. To lower prices we would have to change the fiscal structure of the market. Current national policy is all about creating more profit.

Same old same old from Paul Dennett and Andy Burnham - no matter how much 'public consultation' is received the answer is always the same. Their plan gets the rubber stamp and we lose more precious green space and wildlife. It's a complete charade that needs calling out.
