Exciting news from the Kwitonda group! 🦍

Rwunguko has just welcomed a new infant! This is her third offspring, increasing the group's count to 19 individuals. It's so wonderful to see the mountain gorilla groups thriving... and expanding!

Silverback Urugwiro, who has been solitary since 2020 after losing the females of his group to his brother Mutobo, was spotted this week calmly feeding. 🌱

Urugwiro turned 23 this year in January.

Having expanded his group to 14 individuals with three females joining this year, silverback Mutobo continues to seek more. In these videos, watch him interact with the Titus group. This particular interaction ended without any member transfers.
