Save The Whitechapel Bell Foundry I work right next to it. Would love to see it bought back to life. So much history in one place. Creating the sound that made things happen and stop in daily life 🔔

This is so sad. JB visited the foundry and the bell design on the cover of ‘Summoned by Bells’ came from bells at the foundry.

Whitechapel bore the bells that rang out across cities like Canterbury, London, Lincoln, Liverpool and Washington DC. So sad to see it in this state.

Save The Whitechapel Bell Foundry Mail Online Tower Hamlets Council sold the site ignoring consultations, thousands of people who disagreed with the closure but most shockingly Tower Hamlets Council and its councillors erased the borough's rich history , (a tiny space) for greed! BUY IT BACK Tower Hamlets Council BUY IT BACK

The developers slapped beige paint on the Whitechapel Bell Foundry to cover up the graffiti and obliterated the 19th century woodgraining. It is painful to witness this decay, when The London Bell Foundry are offering to buy it to cast bells again and cherish the historic buildings.
