At last! It's taken more than three years for this Merton Council issue to be resolved. Let's hope there are plans in place to prevent it happening again.
Hi Merton Council , last week you sent letters out about work on Milner Road, and that residents had until October to voice concerns and go through consultation process. Yet you started the work yesterday? Shows how seriously you are taking consultation with residents.
So Merton Council #Wimbledon public bike parking now being occupied by Lime and HumanForest users. Really need some joined up thinking on active travel in the borough.
I'm dismayed at how little time the Labour Chair of Merton's Planning Committee, Cllr Aidan Mundy, is giving residents to raise objections to the AELTC's outrageous plans to build on Wimbledon Park. He's treating it like a minor building extension! 1/2 mertonlibdems.org.uk/news/article/a…
The outcome of the inquiry by Government Inspectors into Merton Council's critical new Local Plan was originally scheduled for June and we're still waiting. We are told the Inspectors' discussions with Merton Council are taking "longer than envisaged"

Contractors for Merton Council repainting random patches of road markings in the borough. The width of these lines seem overkill and inappropriate for a very short side road. Money better spent on obliterated yellow box junctions or roundabouts 😡
.Royal Mail deliveries continue to be erratic in the #Wimbledon area, often arriving in large batches once a fortnight 😡 Hope this doesn't affect Merton Council with a #postalvote for #GE2024
Here's what neighbouring Wandsworth Council are doing about abandoned e-bikes. Would be good to see Merton Council review its procedures. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
As we all swelter in the heat, does anyone know how the 10,000 Merton Council trees (AKA as tree whips) planted last year are fairing? Have any of them survived? 🍃🌿🌳🥵

Six fire engines and about 40 firefighters are tackling a shed fire on Faraday Road #Wimbledon. Some local roads cordoned off. Merton Council LFB Merton
