We are a registered charity made up entirely of volunteer representatives from local groups who have a keen interest in Victoria Park.
We are overseen by delegates from community councils, local organisations & trusts and Friends of VP.

📢 The Whiteinch Centre has launched its community café consultation.
They are keen to hear from residents about what improvements can be made to the café.

You set up a ‘Friends Group’ to support the library and hopefully the staff who work there.
You end up running some sort of ‘service’ from the building after the staff lose their jobs.

In recent years, whenever, Glasgow City Council's plans have threatened to degrade the quality of the park, the locals have been more than ready to come out and protest.
The former Glasgow Protestant Institute for Orphaned and Destitute Girls on Westland Drive in the Whiteinch area of Glasgow. The institute was founded in 1825, but it wasn't until 1891 that this purpose-built home was constructed for it.

Two years ago Victoria Park Community Trust, Glasgow & residents demonstrated solidarity with the Ukrainian people by planting a Kalina, a symbol of the the Ukraine.
Lord Provost, Philip Braat, did the honours & we're pleased that the tree's still flourishing as a symbol of amity between our countries.
