Since 8am this morning most of the houseboats at CYBC have had no electricity. UK Power Networks confirmed it is an internal fault and the responsibility of CYBC maintenance staff. But even after 8 hours of total blackout CYBC hasn't sent a single update to boatowners. #💡?

After a few hours' respite in the light most our boats have been plunged into darkness again! CYBC claim it is not their fault. UK Power Networks say CYBC’s cutout switch is letting in water. All we know is it's cold and dark on the river tonight. 💡😕

Lovely to see that the traditional Chelsea Houseboats still hold a strong attraction for artists such as Oliver Maughan (Instagram). The boats and historic community need everyone’s support if they’re to remain here!
