Started my time at #COP29 with two of our climate champions. In the Press Conference these children shared from their personal experiences. we need world leaders to listen to children's perspectives and address their unique needs. #SaveTomorrow

We welcome the ceasefire announcement between Israel and Hezbollah. It needs to be sustained indefinitely to protect children in #Lebanon. Children also urgently need life-saving support to allow them and their families to rebuild their lives.

Great to reconnect with Alinur Ali Aden at #COP29. I’ve seen the devastating impact of the climate crisis first-hand in #Somalia. So grateful to work alongside partners like GREDO SOMALIA to address these challenges.

Save the Children is devastated & outraged at the killing of staff member Ahmad Faisal Isleem Al-Qadi, 39, in an Israeli airstrike in #Gaza. Our second colleague killed in Gaza. We condemn this attack in the strongest terms & demand an investigation,” Inger Ashing

After nearly 14 years of conflict & subsequent humanitarian & economic crises, Syria is on the cusp of transition. Now more than ever, children in #Syria need peace, stability & education. They deserve a brighter future. We must make this the turning point for them.

Children mustn't be criminalised for seeking a better life. Many are fleeing conflict, poverty & violence💔 We aid refugee & migrant kids globally, providing protection, care & the basics they need to thrive. This #MigrantsDay, we demand the protection of all migrant children.

It’s unacceptable that we continue to see the erosion of children’s rights due to conflict, climate change and inequality. While the solutions are complex the world’s children need our support now more than ever. Read more via Al Jazeera English - bit.ly/3DuKEjC

While in #Kenya earlier this year I had the opportunity to see how our teams Save the Children Kenya & Madagascar are ensuring remote communities receive health and nutrition services. It was so encouraging to see their efforts.

The climate crisis and conflict has displaced far too many in #Somalia. Seeing the impact of our Save the Children in Somalia WASH and child protection initiatives was impressive, but the humanitarian needs are significant. Additional support is needed to do more.

I met many children in a #SouthSudan transit this year who had fled the conflict in #Sudan. They’ve had to endure more than any child should, and in the midst of this crisis I was struck by their resilience. We need to see an end to the violence and a huge scale up of support.

This year we supported children all over the world by working together – with local partners, governments, dedicated donors and with children themselves. May that spirit of collaboration continue into the year ahead! #NewYear2025

Let’s be willing to take both the simple and difficult actions needed to make children’s dreams come true in 2025. #NewYear2025

The work we as Save the Children International do to promote and protect children’s rights wouldn’t be possible without the daily efforts of our staff and volunteers. Starting this year with immense gratitude for my colleagues around the world. #Grateful #NewYear2025

A pause in hostilities in Gaza must become a definitive ceasefire to protect children. savethechildren.net/news/gaza-any-…

The nightmare for children in #Gaza is not over yet. They need a definitive ceasefire and increased humanitarian assistance.

Save the Children condemns the killing of UN staff in Gaza. “Humanitarian workers are protected under international humanitarian law. We need that to deliver life-saving assistance. Our thoughts are with UNOPS colleagues at this time.” Rachael Cummings, Gaza Humanitarian Director

We cannot do our jobs in Gaza. We call on all parties to guarantee - safety of our staff - unfettered access of aid into and across Gaza - release of the hostages - release of all Palestinians arbitrarily detained savethechildren.net/news/let-us-do…

Children are starving due to #Gaza siege. Now Israeli officials seek to shut down existing aid system & replace it with a military-controlled one. We will not take part in any scheme not adhering to humanitarian principles. We stand with our peers.
