I landed today and hit the ground running at the #NABJ2024 convention. In addition to seeing my fellow journalists, I attended a visual arts session. The session near and dear to my heart about sickle cell disease and giving it the proper coverage was amazing. #spectrumnewsnabj

The Rays media guide says the roof was designed to withstand 115 mph wind. It's "the world's largest cable-supported domed roof, made of six acres of translucent, Teflon coated fiberglass." The guide says it was supported with 180 miles of cables connected by struts.

A pop up Clearwater donation spot behind the Best Buy on Drew street is gone. Organizers want to encourage people to pick up donations from sites near shelters and stay in the shelters if they need to. This site has moved to a synagogue on Gulf to Bay. More info on Spectrum Bay News 9 website.
