From Ranch to Research Lab! 🐮🔬 Satou Lab - Kumamoto University @KumamotoUniv_PR visited Yatake Ranch (Sugimoto-Honten Group) in Hitoyoshi to meet Dr. Masonori Sugiyama. We’ll collaborate on early detection of BLV, aiming to protect herd health, prevent economic loss, and support the UN SDGs. 🌱🌍




Dr. Masahiro Ono 小野 昌弘 (Imperial College London, UK), together with Dr. Nobuko Irie, Dr. Naoki Takeda, Satou Lab - Kumamoto University, and Prof. Kimi Araki, has unveiled a machine learning-powered method to decode transcriptional dynamics using a Fluorescent Timer system. Our lab member, Arif Nur Muhammad Ansori, represented us at the 27th Summer #Retrovirus Conference (#SRC2025) in #Tsukuba, #Japan, where he presented his preliminary work on BLV Cell-Free DNA as a biomarker for EBL, highlighting novel non-invasive approaches in veterinary #virology.
