An environmentalist, a degrowth advocate, and an app developer walk into a bar. Do they create a "Real Cost App" to track the real damage/benefit of the item before the concerned consumer purchases? We have to know corporate overlords are already trying to create a distract app.

Ever wondered why, exactly, the ocean is salty? Rainwater is slightly acidic, so it erodes rock, freeing minerals and salts, incl sodium and chloride ions, which are flushed into the sea by rivers. The ocean is salty because it remembers the land. 📷bit.ly/3guRUx9

4. Scientists projecting major ecosystems collapse as soon as 2029 acknowledge they don't account for accelerating Arctic sea ice disappearance or heat waves that will prove unsurvivable for some species. Journalists refuse to focus on ecosystem collapse. x.com/climateben/sta…

The US just experienced its 3rd 1-in-1,000-year rain event in the last week. Southern Illinois saw over a foot of rainfall in under 24 hours, causing severe flash flooding. As our climate warms, floods will become worse as the atmosphere's capacity to hold moisture increases.
