2D animation is NOT more expensive, time consuming or harder than 3D. On equal resources, they take about the same length of time to get made. Also, in this time of indie animation on the rise: creativity is great, but HAVE a budget and pay everyone fairly on time!!

This is actually an excellent example of cartoony realism. The sheep look anatomically correct. They’re sheep BUT what the CGI does instead of keeping them completely realistic is give them some cartoonish expressions to be able to tell emotions & thoughts. TAKE NOTES DISNEY!
