Let’s talk about how many of the diversity leaders have left/been laid off within the last two weeks. This is crazy.

When my first child was born ~5 years ago, I planned to continue working. I worked for a small investment firm and liked my work and coworkers. There was no maternity leave, and so I planned to take 10 weeks off and use all of my 15 days of paid vacation/sick time. /1

The theme pickets and the energy on the line is to keep people’s spirits up. We’re going into week 10 of a strike. This is mentally, physically and emotionally taxing. I have friends who are now back to working day jobs or night jobs to pay their bills while still striking.

Affirmative action taken away, LGBTQ discrimination supported, student loan debt forgiveness blocked, Elon controlling how much information we see on a public social media app. All within a few days. Y’all a revolution gotta be around the corner cause they not gonna stop.

Make it make sense: - You’re low income in LA if you make $70k/year and are single. - You lose your job, the max you can collect/week is $450. You pay tax on that. - You lose your job, you lose your healthcare. Can’t afford healthcare? You’re fined money. It’s broken.
