It's been great to get some sunshine over the last couple of weeks, but please stay safe in the sun. I attended this event for Melanoma Awareness Month, where they explained how just wearing a hat and SPF can go such a long way in protecting yourself from skin cancer.

I was delighted to join girls from around the United Kingdom at Girlguiding’s Parliamentary Reception. It was great to hear from them the changes they would like to see in their lives, including around girl's safety, mental health, cost of living and the environment.

It's #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek . Great to see this Samaritans poster at Tamworth train station. Samaritans are there for people who are struggling to cope or in crisis. If you or anyone you know needs to talk, please do not hesitate to call them day or night on 116 123.

The sun is out and it's a great time to pick up some summer flowers that bees love! I got mine from Dobbies Garden Centre as well as this lovely lunch.

I visited Bright Side Vets, a new practice in Tamworth. It was great to chat with resident vet Jess about the veterinary care they offer and of course to welcome a new business into the community.

I went along to Tamworth Computer Centre which has been contributing to the local community since 1996. They offer new and refurbished computers, as well as a multitude of services. Thank you to Anthony and Nigel for hosting me.

It was a pleasure to go along to St Editha’s Church to learn about the incredible work the chaplains do to support people experiencing social isolation, loneliness or mental health issues. If you want to attend their support group, they meet at the church every Monday at 2-4pm.

Today the incredible, brave Georgia Harrison gave evidence to the Women and Equalities Committee on her experience of non-consensual intimate image abuse. We must go much further to protect victims of revenge porn and I wholeheartedly support this campaign #NotYourstoView

Labour have committed to ensuring that all wet wipes containing plastic are banned and their sale and manufacture stopped. We are so lucky to have such wonderful nature in the UK. Labour will protect our rivers and wildlife from being polluted by plastics.

It was a pleasure to watch Tamworth Wind Band’s commissioned piece about Tamworth Heritage, ‘A Tamworth Tapestry’ by Rob Wiffin. It features all Tamworth’s favourites, including the Castle, rivers and pigs! They've been going for 12 years and are always looking for new members.

We must get knives off our streets so that we can keep our communities safe. I support Labour's pledge to get police back on the beat, re-establish community policing and take back our streets from serious violence by halving incidents of knife crime within a decade.

Great to see the High Street buzzing on Saturday. Here you can see fantastic band Split Second and people lining up for the best jacket potatoes in town from Spud Man!

I visited Stoneydelph Primary School to hear from staff about the successes and challenges being faced by the school. Thank you to Head Teacher Esther for hosting me and pupils Mia and Ezmay, who were very polite and told me about their favourite subjects on offer.
