I can tell when things are happening on Twitter just based on how much traffic the Isabel Fall story is getting.

Feel weird about the big author just being, like, 'Well, GUESS WHAT? My daughter is trans!!' Glad he is celebrating her. Still feel, like... not his news to share?? Fame disparities, etc., etc., etc.

When I do occasional threads about TV over on main now, I get these overly explanatory replies that tell me extremely basic things, even though I have been covering television for over a decade.

It started happening about three years ago. I can’t possibly imagine what changed.

I thought about tweeting something about affixing a pouch to my abdomen in which I could carry people around on main, but then I thought better of it, and then I thought I would tweet about it over here instead.
