NEWS: Temple COO Ken Kaiser is retiring on June 30, according to a statement from President John Fry. Kaiser, who has been at Temple for more than 30 years, cited his health as the reason for his retirement. He was out for extended medical leave earlier this year. Story to come

Today, The Stanford Daily is the plaintiff in a federal lawsuit by FIRE against the Trump administration, whose targeting of non-citizens has chilled our staff members' First Amendment rights. When student journalists fear deportation for doing their jobs, democracy suffers.

Indiana sabotaging its best developmental tool is quite the choice. Deans and j-school leaders across the US need to understand that students are learning way more about journalism by working at their school papers than they are in any classroom.
