A longstanding question in cancer: why do tumors only form in certain locations in the body? In our new @nature paper (nature.com/articles/s4158…), we define anatomic position of the cell as a mechanism for this.

Two semesters under my belt as a new PI and I have a lot to be thankful for and to celebrate! Thank you to my team (mostly pictured here). Hopefully will be able to announce some exciting grant results soon and new members joining the lab this summer!

Our first contribution to the cancer-nerve interaction field is out! We dissect the effect of sensory nerves on TNBC cell migration and metastasis and show that nerves drive changes in gene expression in tumor cells. nature.com/articles/s4152…
