This is truly awful. Pesticide use has got to be addressed. Ban it, certainly for non-commercial use, and for those saying 'that'll never happen' look at the progress made on peat-free compost. It can & should be done. Stop using chemicals, let the ecosystem take over. It works!

Morning all. Early start as am wide awake at 5:30! Chance to get some writing done so I can have a day walking with Ted & gardening if the weather is nice. Here’s a lovely little dahlia which bloomed yesterday for the first time.

Rain has stopped play. Not ideal weather when working up ladders & shredding. Still, managed to get some more tree pruning done & have lovely piles of mulch ready for use. Time to dry off & have a warm brew.

Spotted in the pear tree. Not the best of nests but I’m glad it’s been home to a family.

That moment when your plans change. It’s really cold & wet here this evening so I’ve postponed plans to go out. Instead I’m preparing comfort food & hunkering down with Ted. I’ve suggested a movie night but he wants to play hide n seek.

Morning all. Autumn has definitely arrived. Very wet here today so I’m having a morning brew, immersed in the surrounding scent of eau de wet labrador. Hope it’s better weather where you are. Have a super day everyone.

It’s freezing 🥶 & typical on the day the tiling starts so have to keep the front door open. Still it will be worth it. Wishing I still had a liberty bodice 😂

Had to film from afar as I didn’t want to disturb them. It might be raining but these lovelies are enjoying bath time. So important to keep the water sources topped up.

Day 1 progress. First section of the entrance levelled & tiled. Really pleased with how it is coming together. Roll on day 2!

I’m so cold,as the front door has been open all day, that I’m making a veg moussaka for supper. Made with homegrown potatoes beans celery & courgettes.
