ICYMI: Councilmember Brooke Pinto released a statement about Trayon White's federal bribery indictment. She said that she will conduct committee hearings this fall since the allegations involve the provision of violence interruption services.
THIS JUST IN: DC PCSB #DCCharterProud just confirmed that Eagle Academy PCS relinquished their charter. Washington Informer heard about this from a community member who responded to our initial story. NOTE: This is less than a week before 353 young people were scheduled to start school.
There's some contention around Trayon White's residency after the FBI arrested him at the 10K Hill South luxary apartments in Navy Yard. Some say it's Ward 6, but according to this Office of ANCs map, the penthouse is right on the edge of Ward 8. Washington Informer
