Whenever I'm up in Dublin, it's always a joy to see the wildflowers in Trinity College Dublin, with big pollinator hits like knapweed, bird's foot trefoil, + yarrow. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but that's the point: in a worsening biodiversity crisis, it's *mind-shifting*.

A massive thank you to all who came along to today's community work day! We planted a huge 4,500 limestone plants as part of the restoration of the Thornborough Henges, in partnership with English Heritage & Tarmac. Over 500 wildflowers of five species were planted by staff & volunteers yesterday. We're currently planting on the banks of the river Duddon alongside a footpath. It's going to be great for pollinating insects & will look great too. Blog #74 in our #YorkshireIn100Species series features the impressive Giant Horntail and its parasite, the Sabre Wasp. Their fascinating host-parasite interaction plays out hidden from view in deadwood... Dan Lombard of Wold Ecology introduces us: neyedc.org.uk/100-species/20…

A cold, sunny and productive day for our volunteers spent planting local seed, potting on seedlings, building cold frames to shelter the plants and making bird boxes. Hot chocolate provided 😉 Interested in joining in? Email us at [email protected]

Nice to see this exhibition some of which was done on our farm. Highlight seeing the colour from our dyersgreenweed something from a bygone time perhaps.
