Today we joined the Chilean Solidarity Network to commemorate the brutal coup against the democratically elected Allende govt in Chile, 1973. Our President Sam Morecroft spoke, promising that Sheffield TUC will always remember, commemorate and teach what happened 51 years ago.

At the commemoration in Nursery Street Pocket Park, a plaque and newly planted tree were unveiled to remember the countless murdered and disappeared in Chile. We urge you to visit the park, and to remember the innocent people murdered and disappeared by the Pincohet regime.
