Following my PhD PI's Luis M. Campos footsteps as C&EN (Chemical & Engineering News) Talented 12! Super pumped to build community with the other awardees 🤩 Special thank you to @EmilyPentzer Bekka Klausen for the initial nominations and encouragement. cen.acs.org/content/cen/ar…
My alma mater Carleton College is hiring a tenure track #chemistry professor. Full job description at the link. It’s a special place with amazing faculty and students, and I hope they find a great person. careers.carleton.edu/en-us/job/4928… #chemtwitter #chemjobs Chemjobber
If you got up early for the #Artemis1 launch and are now looking for something to do, I was reminded today of this lovely podcast with Sam Lemonick about the early days of rocket propellants: cen.acs.org/physical-chemi…
Jyllian assigned and edited the two C&EN stories I’m most proud of. She mentored me as I stepped out of my reporting comfort zone. This is a tremendous loss for C&EN (Chemical & Engineering News).
My last day C&EN (Chemical & Engineering News) and ACS was this past Monday. I’m on the market for a new position and excited about what the future may bring.
What the hell are they doing to C&EN (Chemical & Engineering News) ??
Olexandr Isayev 🇺🇦🇺🇸 Ash Jogalekar Jake Yeston American Chemical Society C&EN advisors put out this open letter, but we're always interested in hearing from members kitchenchemistry.substack.com/p/an-open-lett…
The American Chemical Society has gutted the journalism of its flagship magazine, C&E News. I did not renew my student membership after graduation. I told the fundraiser who called me that as an academic postdoc, I didn't see why I should help fund million dollar executive salaries
I also resigned last week from American Chemical Society after almost 11 years because of the continued assaults on C&EN (Chemical & Engineering News)’s integrity. I am so sad for the amazing people who work here and our readers. No one at ACS is acknowledging the problem or seems to be working to fix it.
Dorea was the connection many C&EN readers had to the magazine. Outstanding journalism aside, I'm convinced that she is a big reason C&EN (Chemical & Engineering News) is so well loved right now. And some other outlet is going to be very lucky to get her.
Given recent actions by the ACS gutting C&EN (Chemical & Engineering News) ...this is not an effective marketing strategy.
