The DJ industry is so good at making you believe you're a rockstar. But then I remember that I'm just a nerd who plays with buttons and makes people happy.

I hate the term "bedroom producer." It implies that you need a fancy studio to make it. I released my first hit on Spinnin' from my mom's house. Don't use lack of equipment as an excuse.

I used to think my music was too "simple." So I'd make it more complex. But people prefer simplicity. Now I make simple music with complex emotions. And people love it.

The music industry is filled with people who are "too cool" for everything. Too cool to network. Too cool to learn. Too cool to create conent. Too cool to put in the work. And then they wonder why they're not growing.

I didn't get my first gig as a DJ because of my mixing skills. I got it because I was the only DJ in the region who had a smoke machine.
