Last week, we celebrated World HijabDay at work with the students. I faced islamaphobia at school where other children would pull my hijab down, call me names and tell me to go back to where I came from (I was born here). It all. made me feel like I didn’t belong.

…and I was today years old when I first heard his name. The selective history we get taught in the modern west is truly staggering.
