We are recognizing Disability Awareness Week. Classes are moving for 15 minutes. Mrs. Dillon’s class spoke with a blind family member to show that you can learn regardless of your disability. They enjoyed reading “touchy-freely” books.#asdelearns

Party Pets came to visit so we can learn about cool animals! They will come again next week to meet our other classes.

Two of our teachers were awarded NBTA branch 0216 awards of excellence. Mrs. Rogers and Mme Colpitts were presented their awards by Angela Hoogendyk, branch director. Congratulations to both on a well deserved award!

Field day at SES...SO MUCH FUN!!!

These wonderful ladies are retiring! Thank you Mrs. Bos, Mrs. Goddard, Mrs.Patt and Mrs. Rogers. We will miss you! You have made Salisbury Elementary a great place to learn and work!

We have classes who carved pumpkins for a contest sponsored by the village of Salisbury. Who is going to win?

Mrs. Hutton, our Art teacher, has connected SES with an international art peace project. Students will be making peace themed art to send to partners in Calgary, Spokane and Israel. We received this lovely package from our first partners.

A big thank you Arlene Steeves and her team at Advance Credit Union in Riverview for their wonderful donation. This holiday gift will go to our new basketball court that will be finished this spring. We will have elementary height hoops!

A local running group used their proceeds from their Christmas Eve Run to buy snacks for SES students! A big thank you to Karen Stewart and the rest of the group.

To welcome back students yesterday, staff thought it would be fun to “prank” the students by dressing in mismatched colours. The students were so happy to be back…that no one noticed! 😃

Our Earth Day SES students were out in force helping the Village of Salisbury clean up trails and wooded areas close to the school. This is what we picked up! #EarthDay #Salisbury

Some of our classes went to visit the Salisbury fire hall. This fits well for fire prevention week. Thank you to the Salisbury Fire Department for their excellent presentations. 👨‍🚒🚒

Our cubs created wreaths that were presented during our Remembrance Day Assembly. These will be on display at the Salisbury Village Remembrance Day Ceremony tomorrow. At SES, we have not forgotten…#ASDElearns

Our kindergarten, grade one and grade two students were treated to a presentation and reading from local author Janet Lewis Daigle. She read “Riley Does Big Things!” The book aims to support social and emotional learning and bullying prevention. #ASDElearns
