Some cool golf news: The annual Sahalee Players Championship, which brings the best amateur players in the world to the PNW, will be converted into a collegiate golf event hosted by Washington Men's Golf starting in Sept 2023, with 12 of the best programs in the country already committed.

It also means the Sahalee Players Championship as we know it will not be played this year or next. But it makes sense, given how difficult it was becoming to lure the best amateurs in the world here in July. Now we’ll have them here in Sept with their schools.

This year, the Sahalee Players Qualifier will be held at Sahalee! June 13 if your handicap is 2.4 or lower you can play. Qualifier is limit d to 72 so sign up early golfgenius.com/pages/40133667….
