First day was a success at Sabot! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day to start the new school year. It was nice having the students back on campus and watching how quickly everyone acclimated.

Last weekend, before the start of classes, we were thrilled to welcome our new families and their buddy families to campus. Students and their families played lawn games, made bubbles, and cooled off with popsicles!

Tap, tap is what head of school, S. Montague, heard on her window today. Two 2nd graders standing at her window to deliver a letter. "They were making a request--which I love & it's wonderful when my window becomes my mailbox," she said. They can expect a written response.

Our students helping to prepare for our annual Winter Night event. They were responsible for helping place the luminarias on the path and around campus, and ensuring all the lights were turned on in the labyrinth for Winter Night's guests to enjoy.

We must remember that intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education. The complete education gives one not only power of concentration, but worthy objectives upon which to concentrate. ~an excerpt from “The Purpose of Education”
