Just heard about someone close to me who was hit by a truck whilst cycling and he is ADAMANT it was intentional. He's okay thank God. I've sent him the link for the helmet camera.
We are getting there with active travel in Irelamd but not with the required cultural shift. 😭

We have been brainwashed into thinking that cars = freedom. The amount of money we could save on buying, taxing, insuring, maintaining cars would be huge. With good integrated infrastructure, it should be possible to get around by train, bus, bike, foot for a lot of journeys.

All I hear is the murmur of people, no cars or traffic at all. How can anyone not want this? There are a LOT of cars, but they are kept out of the city (pop 200, 000) on well designed roads. Everybody's happy. We WILL get there! #activetravel
