It gives me great joy to announce that my president, Ken Hemphill, is returning to service at Southwestern Seminary. Few individuals better embody what we hope to produce through the work of Hemphill Center than the center’s namesake himself. Grateful to bring the Hemphills home to the Dome!

Driving this morning to Hemphill Center Southwestern Seminary to lead a cohort of church revitalization pastors. Please pray for us as we gather to discuss building healthy cultures and making much of Jesus.

It’s what I often refer to as the best kept secret at Southwestern Seminary, and we are working diligently toward getting that secret out! If you are looking for a distinctively Christ centered, Scripture driven, student focused undergraduate education, I hope you will check out Texas Baptist College.

Just read about a forthcoming book project on the “dissolution of the SBC, to be called Requiem – In Remembrance of the Southern Baptist Convention.” I’m sure it will sell, especially to those who take some delight in our present distress. But I’m not ready to give up on the SBC.

Ten years ago today, the greatest #evangelism professor in our history finished his race, having fought the good fight and having kept the faith. For those of us privileged to have been his Southwestern Seminary students, Dr. Roy J. Fish left an indelible imprint. Thankful for his #SWBTSLegacy.
