Code Review Question: What shared vocabulary does your team use for code review comments? How do you differentiate suggestions that are blocking, non-blocking, and suggestions that fall somewhere in-between? Example from Netlify's team - netlify.com/blog/2020/03/0…

When you comment on a code review, there's a person on the other side. Be kind, so they respect your opinion. Be clear, so they know how to fix it. Be convincing, so they understand your reasons. Hold high standards, but don't forget to build relationships.

I did it; I made my podcast debut! I joined SViccari on thoughtbot's The Bike Shed. Give it a listen and hear me talk about how I manage my team and how I've been working with GitHub Codespaces. It's enthralling! bikeshed.fm/340

The past ~3 years as co-host of The Bike Shed has been an incredible adventure, filled with laughter & self-discovery. Thank you Chris Toomey for being the world’s best co-host and a big thank you to everyone that listened to the show, for your kindness, and inspiration. 💛 🚲

I love discussions about learning in public and Joël Quenneville and Steve Polito hit it out of the park in this episode as they discuss the value, risks, and strategies for sharing publicly. 💛 🚲 bikeshed.fm/351

Just noticed that, for the past week and a half, my Ruby gem Primalize (type-checked serializers) has been getting more GitHub stars. Couldn't figure out why. Then I noticed Chris Toomey talked about it on The Bike Shed. 😄 bikeshed.fm/359

I'm very excited about this - Jennifer Dary has started a podcast! 🎉🎧 I have found her classes and blog to be very helpful as I'm always striving to be a better Team Lead. And now, she has a podcast, yay! be-plucky-podcast.simplecast.com
