Achievement Point League! Well done everyone!

KS3 Dance Club has moved dates and venue! Dance Club will now be Friday after-school in the Sport's Hall. The club will working on dances for next year's production. If your child would like to take part, new members, current, and previous members are all welcome!

CAREER OF THE WEEK Each week a pupil-selected career is highlighted with a wealth of information. This week's career is a Food Scientist! Read the poster, scan the QR code or attend the Careers Cafe in room 42 each Tuesday after school in room 42 to access careers support.

Salford Diocese Theme of the Week for Schools

Tomorrow, we will be marking Remembrance Day. Students members of the Scouts, Guides, St John’s Ambulance, Police Cadets, or Armed Forces Cadets including the Army, Navy or Royal Airforce cadets can wear their full uniform to school on Tuesday 11th November as a mark of respect.

We are delighted to share that Laurus Ryecroft Sixth Form has informed us that our former student Hope Wedderburn has successfully enrolled at Imperial College London to read Molecular Bioengineering (BSc). We are so proud of you , you are an inspiration to our current students!

Remembrance Thank you to all who observed the period of silence today at school so respectfully. Representatives of the Faith in Action Team, The GIFT Team and The Stewards, alongside the students representing the Cadet Organisations shared prayers and laid wreaths. We Remember!

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT - Enterprise Challenge Congratulations to Alex S for organising a charity football match for year 7 in aid of Willow Wood Hospice. Well done to all who donated and joined in especially the bib team who won the cup...well done all!

SAMARITANS PURSE - SHOE BOX APPEAL Big thank you for all your generous donations - as a college we collected a brilliant amount of presents for children who otherwise might receive very little this Christmas - thank you so much!

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT Big shout out to Carragan who baked her way to £70 charity money success -raised for Diabetes UK. She independently baked the selection of treats for all to enjoy and with the help of GIFT team volunteers ran the stall during break times - WELL DONE!

Remembrance Chapel The chapel was open yesterday for personal reflection and remembrance of loved ones who are no longer with us.

We’re absolutely buzzing with excitement to host Maths Week 2025 at St. Thomas More! 🎉 Get ready for an action-packed week filled with maths magic and fun challenges, including: It’s going to be a week full of numbers, and excitement — let’s make Maths Week 2025 one to remember!

MORE MOMENTS Olivia, Head Girl, led a talk about her amazing volunteering experience in Cambodia. She told us about her activities including teaching students, touring the area, washing elephants and visiting a bomb disposal training sanctuary for rats, trained to save lives!!!
