We’re delighted Scottish Government Minister Gillian Martin has today announced her intent to push for a full ban on the use of snares. After years of debate, this is a big step in acknowledging snares are indiscriminate and can cause horrendous suffering to animals caught on them.

The Scottish SPCA is delighted and fully supports the decision by Minister Gillian Martin to ban snares with no exceptions under licence with her stage 2 amendment, finally recognising that snares are indiscriminate and can cause immense suffering. Well done. Gillian Martin
