I just received my first shot of COVID-19 vaccine. I thank the Ministry of Health & Medical Services - Fiji staffs that I was finally able to get my first shot. I urge everyone to get vaccinated.

Last week Monday to Wednesday was spent in Beqa. And in the mornings I watched fibre boats carrying School children from Rukua and other villages to the Primary and Secondary Schools located in Raviravi. We were blessed with beautiful weather...

but with rain and wind all these children will be drenched by the time they reach school. So @RosySAkbar can the Children of Beqa be provided with boats that has built in shelter please.Beqa like all maritime islands, the main or only mode of transportation is by boat. 🙏🙏

Visited the VANUA BALAVU students that travelled to Suva for the COKE GAMES but postponed due to COVID19 movement restrictions in place. Took them some educational/games materials to keep those young minds occupied with positive vibes and creativity.

As we all prepare for the upcoming total Lockdown, I quickly dropped off Groceries to two HART Communities after virtual meeting this morning. These communities mainly consist of single Mothers and their Children. Help someone else if you can #TeamFiji. #Covid19 #Fiji

Can the @FijianGovt please, through EFL & Water Authority of Fiji consider some form of assistance, eg by announcement there will be no disconnection or subsidy or even better a moratorium on payment to commensurate with any period of lockdown. #Fiji #Covid19

Good Morning 🇫🇯 It's day 3 of Parliament Sitting.

This morning @FijiAG tabled a motion in parliament which seeks to amend the government guarantee period to Fiji Airways✈️. While tabling the motion in parliament @FijiAG says the guaranteed amount of $455 million is not changing. Now I'm asking the following questions:

A Fijian Parliament staff is a primary contact of a positive case and was at work this week during the “virtual” Parliamentary Sitting, yet the PM, AG and MPs who attended in person have not been told to isolate for 14 days – they have only been told to “stand-down” for 4 days.

By convention, all those who arrive on our shores are isolated for 14days to ensure they are COVID free. This 14days isolation period has been applied to primary and secondary contacts of all positive cases. This ‘double standard’ is cause for concern. One rule must apply to all.

I'd like to remind the #Fiji Government that we serve the same people, THE PEOPLE OF FIJI. That is why I supported @tikoduaduamp's motion that Fijian Parliament approves $50 million from the #COVID19 support aid funds to be disbursed as income support to the unemployed.
