There was a good play on TV tonight called The Ebony Tower. It included Toyah Wilcox being sensually naked wandering round on river banks.

I had my hair transformed today, short ‘n’ spiky! I also bought some henna which I’m gonna put on next weekend to change my image.

Had our General Studies mock ‘A’ level today. It was fucking hard though I did a nice essay on what painting can do that photography can’t.

I wouldn’t wish the experience of sitting in the waiting room before a driving test on anyone and I’m not looking forward to it.

This evening I donned fish net stockings and made myself a skirt out of a bin liner in preparation for seeing The Rocky Horror Show.

It snowed last night so at dinner there was quite a lot of creeping around after 5th years, or away from 5th years as the case may be.

Third time unlucky, or so they don’t say. I failed my driving test yet again on the stupidest of mistakes.

T.S. Eliot’s lines of poetry, “Not with a bang but a whimper” could almost have been written with this end of term in mind.

This afternoon we reminisced about our days in scouts. The countless times we ostracised E, played wide games with flour and eggs... what memories.

What was much more important today than the politics of revolutionary communism was the fact that I bought the Christmas Radio and TV Times.

This afternoon we ran riot round Gilbert’s art room while listening to Bob Marley and The Stranglers.

Looks like the film of the Christmas season could be ‘Reds’, based on the experiences of an American reporter during the Russian revolution.

Something else I would like to do is to take pictures of our Christmas Day celebrations. Imagine when you’re about 60, looking back at them.

After Crimbo in art, we’re doing life drawing (hopefully nudes!!)

It snowed today so everything looked really Christmassy and my paper round was a real drag.

I had to walk around with my scarf on all day because I’d forgotten that someone had drawn a swastika on my neck last night.

I’m so excited about everything. Going home, putting up the tree, meeting everyone, TV, radio, food. My life is at its peak.

Really good tea time because we stuffed ourselves with Chinese take-away.

I was really starving tonight because I have NO FOOD, except for a few slices of bread, so I had mega-millions of cheese on toast for tea.

This year I’ll miss that TV gem, “Russel Harty’s Christmas Party”. Log fire, famous people, booze, you really imagine you’re there.
