St Peter’s Basin residents and Waste Centre users, please be aware of the Glasshouse Road closure due to a sink hole being discovered. I have contacted Stagecoach NorthEast and Go North East to ask about their plans to mitigate the impact on the 18 and Q3 bus routes.

Thank you to the team at Northumbrian Water & Newcastle City Council for their quick response to the sink hole on Glasshouse St Works are estimated to take two weeks. I’ll keep speaking with the relevant teams and the bus companies to look at accessibility to the Basin in safe and workable ways
