Yesterday evening, our team was instructed by Italian maritime authorities to rescue a boat assisted by Trotamar III. The crew of the sailing boat had distributed life jackets to survivors on the double decker wooden boat. 113 people incl. 6 women and 2 children were rescued.

This morning, our teams rescued 88 people from an overcrowded rubber boat with the support of #Seabird2 . A Libyan Coast Guard patrol vessel was on scene but kept safe distance. The bridge was alerted by a mayday relay from Frontex and asked to search & assess the case by ITMRCC.
