Saw this beautiful flower growing amongst rubble on my walk today & I took a picture because this shows that even when you're feeling like rubbish & everything around you is a mess, beautiful things can happen if you allow them to blossom 🌷🌺🌼 #BeKind #MentalHealthAwareness

SOS - Survivors of Stroke was launched in April 2018 as an online based stroke awareness & support service. The team currently comprises of Lee Pemberton & Ashley Martin, both of whom are stroke survivors & Pippa Tudor, an Occupational Therapist specialising in stroke recovery.

A stroke can affect thinking, understanding & memory (cognitive processes) as well as physical functioning. Tasks such as learning new skills, recognising faces and objects & processes such as memory & concentration can all be affected. #SOSHereForYou #NeverGiveUp

If you're experiencing ANY signs of stroke, contact your local emergency services immediately. B - Sudden loss of balance. E - Check for vision loss. F - Look for an uneven smile. A - Check if one arm is weak. S - Listen for slurred speech. T - Call the emergency services.
