Bailey Thompson takes a one-shot lead into Saturday's second and final round at the IU East Invite. Senior Erin Williams (79) and freshman Renae Jaeger (81) are also in the top 10 on the individual leaderboard.

SMWC women's golf put five players in the top 10 of the IU East Fall Invitational, earning them a strong second-place finish. Senior Bailey Thompson shot a second-round score Saturday of 83, following up her tournament-best score of 76 on Friday. bit.ly/3En6LFH

Results from the IU East season opener! Congrats to Bailey and Renae for making the all-tournament team! Bailey also broke the school record for the lowest 36 hole individual score! The Lady Poms tee off tomorrow at 11am in The Woods Invite at Idle Creek!

SMWC senior Bailey Thompson will graduate in December. She started her final semester with the women's golf team by shooting a 36-hole school record of 159. She turns her attention to putting together another strong performance in a home tournament this weekend at Idle Creek.

"Renae has been a huge spark to our program early in the season," coach Kyle Miller said. "The coaching staff is excited to see what Renae and the entire team can accomplish at the RSC Preview in two weeks." Read more: bit.ly/44QWcFC
