However, there is currently a big problem: only around one in six of the people who could benefit from alcohol treatment take it up. Alcohol Change UK widely welcome new guidance urging family doctors and health workers to ensure people's drinking habits are correctly recorded.

On one level I can see how people might think 'language matters' calls are a waste of time. But there is *clear* evidence that addiction terminology & concepts directly effect stigma and behaviour. Here we can see how objecting to that is ideologically driven
