SLTea Time RCSLT 💙 Good to see but would be even better if they call it what it is - Islamophobia/anti-muslim hate. Royal College of Occupational Therapists would be interested to know why this was left out?

Why do organisations explicitly avoid calling out Islamophobia? Language is important, and avoiding the term is part of the problem. Media rhetoric consistently paints Muslims as the "bad guys". This daily narrative impacts Muslims and contributes to the issues we see today.

The nature of community work asks us to constantly re-orientate. With need, risk, and urgency being so high and individual capacity being so low we must continue to build coalitions of care that do not rely on individual reactions, but fluid community responses that are adaptive.
