It’s out! Iain’s Iain Smith first 1st author paper - we show that the local molecular environment can alter the binding modes of macromolecules within the E. coli periplasm. In this case polymyxins with local proteins and the cell wall. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Well done Iain Smith Iain Smith on passing your PhD viva. A thank you to the examiners Graeme Day and franca fraternali. And to Kahlan for the marvellous cell envelope cake. Iain becomes the 17th PhD graduate of the @UoSChemistry wing of the Khalid group - damn I feel old

Today Department of Biochemistry at Oxford University hosted the annual Graduate Poster Symposium, showcasing the many talented students in the department. Our own DPhil student Zephyr (a gentle bree(zeph)) won one of the judges prizes for their work and we are delighted to celebrate their success with them!
