Check out Paul's rig!🏅 Watch those seeds fly. He's seen broadcasting tap roots and tuber species in a slough. His tip? 🌱"Radishes are photosensitive and grow big tubers after the summer solstice!"

Today’s Sclerotinia risk map shows moderate pressure for the majority of our region. Higher risk can exist in fields with previous outbreaks, dense canopies, continuous cropping, & poor air circulation in the canopy. #FungicideSeason #SaskAg

Finally, go-time for forage seed harvest24. 🎉 It was a challenging start but crops that made it through the winter/spring conditions really do look terrific thanks to good management and genetics. 👏

farmprogress.com/weeds/use-cove… Amit Jhala shows impressive Palmer amaranth suppression with a winter rye #covercrop if you #killontime. In a highly infested field, he reduced the seed rain to essentially zero.

Gavin Spoor You need excellent seed-soil contact so that your cover crop will get a #faststart and make a stand with #nogaps. Surface application rarely provides that. Some species that sometimes work include rye, spelt, ryegrass and medium red clover. It helps if crop residue covers seeds.
