12 months ago, the UK Commando Force deployed at short notice to Sudan to evacuate British nationals and others. Over 6 days, they recovered over 2,500 people, including newborn babies and the elderly, working closely with colleagues from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and the Royal Air Force.

Today is #AnzacDay , when we remember those from Australia and New Zealand who lost their lives serving in the Armed Forces.

#SJFHQ welcomes Major General Tom Bateman CBE as the new Standing Joint Force Commander.

He takes over from Major General Jim Morris CB DSO RM who is leaving the military after 37 years of service.

Four of our aircraft have commenced their journey to Norway for the The Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) Ex TAMBER SHIELD. We are looking forward to working with the our RN Coastal Forces and Norwegian units for the next 3 weeks.

The Royal Navy ship RFA Cardigan Bay is sailing to the eastern Mediterranean🚢

This supports the Ministry of Defence 🇬🇧 & international effort to ensure more aid can reach Gaza

HMS Diamond provided an escort through the Red Sea, where she remains to defend against Houthi attacks on shipping

Today the The Royal Logistic Corps have again delivered crucial aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza.

Supported by a Royal Air Force A400M from RAF Brize Norton , the Ministry of Defence 🇬🇧 have now delivered a total of 64 tonnes of aid. ✈️

Personnel from 47 Air Despatch Squadron The Royal Logistic Corps on a Royal Air Force A400M completed the largest airdrop of aid into Gaza.

Led by the Jordanian Armed Forces - the international effort saw 9 nations drop essential aid to the Palestinian people.

Over the weekend there were a further 3 Aid Drops into Northern Gaza, supplying crucial aid to the Palestinian people.

British Army 🇬🇧 personnel from 47 Air Despatch Squadron loaded aid from Jordan and the UK onto an Royal Air Force A400M Atlas from RAF Brize Norton .

The aid contains essential provisions & will support the people of Gaza.🥫

Ministry of Defence 🇬🇧 & the Royal Jordanian Air Force worked closely together to conduct this mission.🤝

#EntenteCordiale120 | After 4 months of logistical coordination between 🇫🇷🇬🇧, a container arrived at the Noumea Naval Base for HMS Tamar of Royal Navy.

This synchronisation of 2 logistics chains was made possible by the CJEF, which strengthens interoperability between 🇫🇷🇬🇧.
