Great to talk to the clinical education day today about how HCPs can support young people at events and growing our future healthcare professionals. “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn.”

This is such an important concept for anyone discharging febrile children. Safety net, safety net, safety net.

Last night providing first aid cover to The Killers were me and Dan Bevis (we were cadets together). The other two paramedics were my cadets. And the cadets just becoming adults were my Badgers. Such a privilege to watch them grow. Never underestimate the power of youth work!

It was my pleasure this morning to be at the Remembrance service in Dronfield today, huge thank you to the local unit for allowing me to join them. Very impressed with the turn out and engagement of all the young people present, from St John Ambulance England and all the youth orgs.
