In preparation for a busy summer of events, on Monday of this week our London Bridge and Bankside unit held a CPR refresher session.

In addition to getting lots of practice time, the unit also reviewed how and why CPR may need to be modified for some patients.

Volunteers from our London Bridge and Bankside unit are on duty at the London Landmarks Half Marathon today, including as part of the command team, and at the finish line Treatment Centre alongside Enhanced Care Services Ltd..

The unit is also on duty at running events in Battersea Park and Brighton today.

It was scenario night last night at our London Bridge and Bankside unit.

In preparation for a busy summer, volunteers went through a range of scenarios based on common presentations at running events, plus a cardiac arrest refresher.

Our London Bridge and Bankside unit are at The Guildhall today, alongside our friends in SJA London CRU and CATS, at an event hosted by City of London and Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation, doing First Aid demos and speaking to young people about getting involved with St John Ambulance England.

Members of our London Bridge and Bankside unit were on duty at London Stadium tonight, alongside St John Ambulance England volunteers from across the region, for the Spain v Colombia friendly. #ESPvsCOL

Volunteers from St John Ambulance England were on duty for the Imperial Devils Vs UCL Yetis / Ice Club Ice Hockey Varsity game tonight, giving First Aid to those who needed it.

Congratulations to volunteers Carl, Jamie, and Danny, who were invested in The Order of St John today.

All are dedicated volunteers with more than 50 years of service to St John Ambulance England.

Congratulations to Tom, Scott, Daria, Roberto, and Mackenzie from our London Bridge and Bankside units for passing their Emergency Responder courses over the past two weeks.

Congratulations also to those from other units who passed the courses, which were held at London Bridge.

Tonight was scenario night at our London Bridge and Bankside unit, focusing on treatment in difficult situations such as on stairs, in the dark, and with limited kit.

It was great to have our friends from KCL St John Ambulance Society come along to the night too.

A great turnout for tonight's meeting, where SJA London CRU kindly invited our London Bridge unit to their regular training night, which this week featured a talk from the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART).

This weekend we've been at London Bridge delivering training to volunteer Demonstrators.

Our Demonstrators deliver some training to other volunteers and in the community.

New Demonstrators are assessed teaching a practical skill such as How to Make a Cup of Tea.

Our London Bridge unit are on duty at four events today.

This morning they're at a running event in #BatterseaPark and the Arsenal Women game, alongside St John Ambulance England volunteers from across the region.

Later, they'll be at a service at St George's Cathedral, Southwark and the Millwall FC game.

It's #LGBTHistoryMonth , and tonight's training night at our London Bridge & Bankside unit is about LGBT+ awareness and the journey to equality.
